It in the first chapel which came into existence under Moonumury Parish.After 20 years of the institution of parish our ancestors thought have a chapel under the parish.In order to fulfill this dream.They discussed to construct a chapel at chungal.They bought a land on the road side and started the constitution.All the members of the parish coperated with the construction of chapel and donated 1 rupees per family.After the completion of the construction works,the chapel was blessed on 1944.

After 62 years parishioners understood the poor condition of the chapel and expressed their will for the reconstruction of the chapel. With the copeation and prayers of the parishioners with in one year reconstruction was completed and blessed on 25th January 2005 by Bp.James pazhayattil (late).There is novena to st.Anthony and st.Mariam  Thresia on every Tuesday at 6.15.
