Rev.Fr.John Kizhakoodan formed our congregation to give merciful love of our Lord Jesus for the poor and the since.In 1948 April 20th the community of st.mother was accepted by the bishop of Thrissur diocese of Ponnukara and it was institutiond on August 15. In 1977 may 1st our society was elevated to the state of major Archiepiscopate.

The humble and simple life of Rev.Fr.John kizhakoodan was an inspiration for the sister of st.mother to perform various pastoral ministries in the holy church.”We serve” in the principle motto of the congregation.During the period of Rev.Fr.Antony Aynickal in 1970.May 12 we started a convent at Moonumury and named as st.Antony’s convent.In order to lit the light of knowledge in the hearts of young children we started a nursery school and tailoring class for the young women.We also provide shelter and education for the young girls those who we not able to afford the expense of education due to poverty and other various reasons.

With the assistance and prayers of various benefactors good and education of the children are going well.We also take an active role in teaching catichism, family apostolate and other activities of the parish
