Congregation of fansiscan handmaids of good shepherd was found by hearing the voice of good shepherd to help out the poor and marginalized in the society with maternal care and love.Our congregation was found by mother Theresa Napoli in South Italy on 14th May 1988.

A branch of our congregation was started at Moonumury on June 2nd 1955 and named as ‘Santhi Bhavan convent’ Rev.Fr.Jose cavungal was the vicar during the beginning period of our convent.

We are actively participating in the family and Parish apostolate of the Moonumury church.we also have an old-age home for the aged women.Our old age home and convent was rebuilt and blessed by Bp.Mar Pauly Kanookadan on 000.
